If you have not seen our social media posts from the world’s largest pet trade fair recently, you should really take a peek. With 20 companies spread over four islands (our largest pavilion yet) it was hard to miss the Canadians. PIJAC Canada has been hosting pavilions at Interzoo since 1996 and we have never had a crowd like we saw this year. Over four days approximately 39,000 visitors from over 125 countries descended on Nuremberg, Germany to discover the cutting-edge offerings in food, health products, accessories and services for all species. Never a group to sit quietly by, our gregarious Team Canada held court in Hall 2 and stayed busy from sun up to sun down taking advantage of the business lounge, translators, meeting rooms offered in the pavilion.
Members met with over 100 different countries during the event. The primary goals for companies in the pavilion include making international contacts and signing deals, however as part of the world’s leading pet fair, they also had the benefit of seeing firsthand the developments in our industry before they even hit North American shores. Being exposed to the latest technology and trends offered Team Canada members a chance to get a jump on their competition and keep them ahead of the game back home.
Currently, the global pet supply market is estimated to be 98 billion Euro, which means an abundance of opportunities. If you’re ready to expand your business let us know and we can help bring you onto the world stage.
