The 30th Annual National Pet Industry Trade Show took place this past weekend in Mississauga, Ontario, was again sold out this year and had a record of 1800 pre-registered visitors. With a packed show floor and celebratory events, it was truly an exciting weekend!
The trade show hosted a multitude of events. Trade show goers learned the basics of using social media channels for business with Sherrilynne Starkie, they listened to the importance of the human-animal bond from Dr. Roger Haston and heard Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) President Dan Kelly discuss important pitfalls to avoid in running a business.
The big draw for the Italy trip took place at the show. The first prize went to Jorddan Dancer of Mr. Pets in B.C. The second prize of a $600 travel vouchers went to Catherine Carrier of Miss Catherine Toilettage in Quebec and Eva Gagyi of Pets Luv Us in Ontario. We would like to thank everyone for their entries and we congratulate the winners and looking forward to seeing many more next year.
The 80’s themed gala was a hit with over 300 guests who enjoyed 80’s tunes and neon colours at the flash-back event. Also, the winner of the Animal Welfare is Everyone’s Business Retail Award and the Favorite Sales Representative Awards were announced.
A special thank you to everyone who attended the trade show. We couldn’t have done it without you!
