We are currently seeking a full-time Sales Representative to support the Quebec market

Location: Home-based office

Territory: Province of Quebec, as well as some support to other territories such as the Maritime Provinces

A Snapshot of the job:

This position reports directly to the President, with a dotted line to the General manager and is responsible for:

  1. Grow Boréal Pet food sales in an area based in Quebec and some support to the Maritime Provinces
  2. Set up appointments and call on Specialty Pet Food Retail Locations
  3. Establish a professional relationship with retail locations and their staff
  4. Build awareness on the Boréal Brand and present new products and specials
  5. Train stores staff and encourage completion of the On-line training program
  6. Work closely with Boréal Distributor Representatives to support Boreal Sales
  7. Work closely with Distributors on monthly marketing/promotional efforts
  8. Listen to and address any concerns of the customers, following up on any concerns or opportunities
  9. Track sales and keep detailed customer records to ensure good follow-up
  10. Attend industry trade shows as directed by Boréal
  11. Report weekly to Boréal Management including sales call numbers, summary and expense reports
  12. Update Boréal Management on trends in the industry
  13. Overnight stays as required

What you will bring:

  • Fluently Bilingual in English and French, both verbal and written
  • Minimum college diploma
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an outside sales or territory sales position
  • Experience in the pet industry preferred
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
