9am – 10am CONFERENCE – THE PREMIUMIZATION OF PET SPECIALTY RETAIL IN NORTH AMERICA by Edouard Lefeuvre

Over the decade, pet specialty retail has seen a shift towards the “Premiumization” of pet food.  This strong trend has been driven by pet owners’ focus on their pet’s health as well as their own, a very consistent increase in average price-per-pound for pet food, and a larger social trend towards natural and organic products. We’ll examine the latest growth in natural, grain-free, and raw premium products, as well as emerging pet retail trends in the North American market that support continued growth in this area.
