Fromm Family Pet Foods (Canada) is a leading brand in the pet food industry. With manufacturing in Wisconsin, Fromm Canada is responsible for the sales and marketing across the country utilizing a direct sales team and a distributor network.

As part of our growth, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative (Territory Manager) responsible for developing a sales territory by maintaining and building new relationships with retailers in the independent pet specialty channel. These are smaller retail stores, so you will be dealing with decision makers instead of the bureaucracy associated with the grocery and mass channel. You will be an ambassador for our company, becoming a trusted face to our customers which includes distributors, store owners, store managers, store staff and the end consumer.

Location: Greater Montreal with some overnight travel required

Key Requirements:

• Successful completion of a university degree or college diploma
• 2+ years of field sales experience
• Previous experience in pet food / pet nutrition / pet health is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular focus on Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to think on your feet, by assessing, planning and strategic troubleshooting
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and driven professional

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a solution provider to customers by determining their unique needs and assessing
their competitive advantages
• Develop promotional and sales strategies with customers to gain more shelf-space for
our products
• Provide product training to customers to strengthen their ability to sell and recommend
our products
• Communicate with current customers and new customers on a regular basis, providing
solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity in your assigned sales territory
• Analysis monthly sales report/territory database to identify sales trends, opportunities
and issues.

Special Qualifications:

• Ability to lift a maximum of 40lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Bilingual French and English
• Attend trade shows and sales meetings as required
Working Hours:
· Weekly 37.5 hours. However, based on specific business need, you must be able to work some
evenings, weekends, and extra hours

Work Environment:

• Much of your time will be spent working with our customers in their stores. This will
require travel and frequent overnight trips to support your territory
• Sales planning and administrative tasks will be done from your home office
