Earth Rated was founded by a group of friends who recognized a need for quality poop bags at affordable prices. The team identified a demand for new options for pet owners to dispose of pet waste as plastic bags were slowly being phased out of stores due to environmental concerns. Their focus being to keep both pet owner needs and the planet in mind.
Founded in 2010, Earth Rated saw rapid growth which presented an exciting challenge for the small Canadian company. It required them to rapidly adjust distribution, production, and communication systems. By doing so it helped to ensure their ability to offer the same high-quality products and level of service they had always been committed to.
Within the pet industry, Earth Rated strives to make, what can be considered a not so fun task, …fun! Therefore, branding has been extremely important to the company as they develop their product line, design innovative trade exhibits, and create engaging social media campaigns. They believe that being open and available to their customers and staying on top of what pet owners are looking for in a quality brand is what led to their success.
One of PIJAC Canada’s trade shows was the first that Earth Rated attended and it was instrumental in helping them connect with the right people in the industry.
