ROYAL CANIN® Injects $200M to Double Output at Key Facility Supplying Canadian Market.

ROYAL CANIN Continues to Invest in Improving Challenging Service and Supply Environment.

Puslinch, ON – March 19, 2021 – ROYAL CANIN® – a leader in tailored health and nutrition
products for dogs and cats – today announced a $200 Million (USD) investment being made at a
key US production facility that helps supply the Canadian Market. The facility – which produces
both ROYAL CANIN® and Eukanuba health and nutrition diets for both the USA and Canada – will
see its capacity doubled via the addition of five highly automated production lines by 2022.

This effort is designed to provide relief to the production capacity constraints ROYAL CANIN® has
experienced throughout North America in recent months, as a direct result of significant and
sustained increases in demand for products. Furthermore, it underscores ROYAL CANIN’s
commitment to activating every available solution to deliver the diets required by pets and pet
parents throughout Canada.

ROYAL CANIN® Canada is also taking a number of other actions to provide relief to the constraints
being experienced currently in the market, including the prioritization of the most in-demand SKUs
through portfolio optimization, and accessing the greater North American supply network to
leverage their full scale. ROYAL CANIN® recognizes the impact a constrained supply environment
has on customers, and is committed to taking every action to bring supply back into line with
consumer expectations.
