This Could Be You! – Canadian Pet Community Awards Summer Launch

 

PIJAC Canada’s Canadian Pet Community Awards for eastern Canada will be launching in 12 days! 

If you are or know of an outstanding, Retailer, Sales Representative or Pet Service provider, get a start on nomination details so you are ready for June 10th.  The Canadian Pet Community Awards highlight the work of our exceptional members, shining a light on the efforts of the amazing people in our industry and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Efforts can include things like, public education on pet care and responsible ownership, offering after-service support to clients, involvement in pet-related community events and anything that supports healthy pet experiences beyond day-to-day operations.

Key to a Successful Nomination
The key to a successful nomination lies in sharing a few examples of why the candidate is a great fit for an award.  So start collecting details now so you’re ready.

3 Steps
Pick your Region
– The awards are separated into 3 regions, Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes
Nominators – Pick your candidate or find yourself a nominator (see criteria below)
Examples – prepare a few examples to support the nomination (see criteria below)

    

Criteria for Each Category

Manufacturing or Distribution Sales Representative

  • Has a talent for helping business owners and their staff learn about the products and how they can benefit their clients
  • Is always readily available for ongoing support for clients and pet owners
  • Willingly participates in their clients’ community events, lending a hand and engaging pet families
  • Nominations must be made by a Retail Store or Pet Business

Retailer – Independent Business or Chain Store Location

  • Must be a brick and mortar location (when voting for the Chain Store Retailer Award, you are voting for one (1) specific franchisee or location not the whole franchise).
  • Promotes responsible pet ownership in the store and community (ex: take-home information packages, care workshops, school visits, etc.)
  • Supports pet & pet families in the community (ex: pet food bank, raising awareness on issues impacting pets in the community, assisting other animal organizations, etc.)
  • Nominations are open to the public

Pet Service Provider

  • Must be an individual offering pet services through their own registered business
  • Promotes responsible pet ownership through their services and community (ex: take-home information packages, after-sale care program, care workshops, school visits, etc.)
  • Supports pet & pet families in the community (ex: pet food bank, raising awareness on issues impacting pets in the community, assisting other animal organizations, etc.)
  • Nominations are open to the public

Note: All nominees must be a member of PIJAC Canada.
